Lynette A Menefee, Ph.D., is a licensed
psychologist and Assistant Professor of Psychiatry and Human
Behavior at Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia. Her
clinical practice has focused on helping individuals overcome
difficulties with behavior change as it relates to health and
quality of life. She also conducts research and treats
individuals with chronic pain conditions and chronic illness.
She is a member of the American Psychological Association, the
Society for Behavioral Medicine, and the American Pain
Society. Menefee has presented and published in a variety of
medical and psychological forums.
Daniel R Somberg, Ph. D. is a licensed
psychologist, working in private practice and at a community
mental health center in Kansas City. He is also a clinical
assistant professor at the University of Missouri, Kansas city
School of Medicine, teaching cognitive behavioral therapy to
psychiatric residents. His rich clinical experience and
research into the latest literature on the process of change
has led him to an expert’s understanding of what makes for
successful change and what gets in the way. He has published
articles in several professional journals and is a member of
the American Psychological Association.
